The IAPM has founded the Indian College of Pathologist (ICP) which promotes academic activities like establishment of new subspecialities (Nephropathology, Immuno-hematology, GE pathology, Neuropathology etc), designing training courses for them, conducting examinations and awarding qualifications. Publication of textbooks, recent advances and monograms is the second objective of the ICP. The affairs of the college is managed by a faculty of council. Besides, acting as an advisory National body to MCI and allied bodies in all matters in academic and technical activities of undergraduate and postgraduate education in the subject of pathology and microbiology, the college awards fellowship i.e. F.I.C. Path.
